"The Run Through South Atlanta", 7:30AM, Saturday, March 25, 2023
This Saturday’s run will take place from the Pittsburgh Yards development at 352 University Ave. in the historic Pittsburgh community. The routes will consist of a 6.4 mile course and a 3.1 mile course with both starting on the Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail. The 6.4 mile course will go through the neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, Capitol View, West End, The Atlanta University Center, and Adair Park. The 3.1 mile course will go through the neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and Adair Park. After the run and walk, Partners can look forward to a spread of food.

On Saturday the Partners went north to exhale on the trails. The River Run immersed us in some foliage in the midst of the urban jungle. Our scenic nature run put us on the Rottenwood Trail, the Bob Callan Trail, the Akers Mill Trail, and into Cochran Shoals alongside the Chattahoochee River. Under overcast skies with temperatures barely breaking 60 degrees, runners crossed the finish line in Centennial Olympic Park after tackling the 2023 Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k , and 3k and 50m kids races. South Fulton Running Partners , Black Men Run , Movers And Pacers, LaceUp Fitness, and runningnerds will host a commemorative 2.23 mile run in honor and memory of Ahmaud Arbery. The event will kick off at 6pm with remarks and reflections on the occasion followed by an out-and-back run on the Beltline at 6:30pm.
